Specialised training for Mechanical Engineers and Electrical Engineers will be provided at the company’s headquarters in its specially adapted workshop in Belfast. The courses will provide both practical and theoretical training, meaning that students will have the opportunity to practice and build confidence in honing their skills and knowledge.

The courses will be delivered by highly experienced engineers who work with some of the biggest names in the aerospace, automotive and food & beverage industries both in Northern Ireland and overseas. It will be the first specialised engineering training school on the island of Ireland to start courses in the summer of 2020.

The Training School is a philanthropic project of Horizon Engineering’s Managing Director, Michael Burrows who views it as his civic duty to restore Belfast’s engineering heritage by ensuring that the skills and pedigree are not lost.
